This is a great beginning watercolor class!  You will be painting a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers in a Ball jar on 8×10 paper.

The drawing is already done for you.  No drawing skills are required so you can get right to the painting. You will learn several watercolor techniques, and get to practice them before you paint your actual picture.  You will leave with a beautiful finished watercolor… ready to frame.

In this watercolor painting, we will learn a new technique for keeping the white of the paper as our highlight. We will be using a material called Liquid Frisket which acts as a resist for the paint. At the end of the class, we will remove the Liquid Frisket to unveil our finished painting! We will continue to learn and practice techniques such as wet on wet, basic washes and creating blooms with in our paint application.

The instructor, Amanda Moyer, has a MFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design and has been an architectural watercolorist in Huntsville for 10 years.  She will guide you through every step and she makes it a fun class for all!

All art supplies are provided.  Prepayment is required to reserve your space.

We have coffee and water available.  Feel free to bring any other beverages you like.

Get your friends and enjoy a fun afternoon out!
