This is a great beginning watercolor class!  You will be painting an old truck surrounded by pumpkins on 8×10 paper.  This one is perfect for fall.

The drawing is already done for you.  No drawing skills are required so you can get right to the painting. You will learn several watercolor techniques, and get to practice them before you paint your actual picture.  You will leave with a beautiful finished watercolor… ready to frame.

In this Pumpkins painting, we will pay close attention to specific color schemes, for example complementary colors. We will layer in rich detail as we as we work through the painting, making our pumpkins look “round”. We will use color values or “lights” and to give dimension to the truck. Finally, we will talk about the term atmospheric perspective and how to use this in works of art.

All art supplies are provided.  Prepayment is required to reserve your space.

We have coffee and water available.  Feel free to bring any other beverages you like.

Get your weekend started right with this fun Saturday morning class!

The instructor, Amanda Moyer, has a MFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design and has been an architectural watercolorist in Huntsville for 10 years.  She will guide you through every step and she makes it a fun class for all!
